ADMISSION NOTICE
ADMISSION FOR TWO YEARS B.P.ED COURSE: 2025-2027

Online application are invited from the eligible female graduate candidates only for the session 2025-2027 for admission in B. P. Ed Course(2 year) at Government Physical Education College For Women, Rice Research Station, P.O-Chinsurah(RS), Dist- Hooghly affiliated by the University of Burdwan and recognized by the NCTE.

  • Eligibility Criteria – As per NCTE norms:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School Competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.

Or

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45% marks.

Or

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as compulsory/elective subject.

Or

Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National/Inter University/State competitions or secured 1st , 2nd or 3rd position in Inter College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.

Or

Bachelor’s degree with participation in International competitions or secured 1st , 2nd or 3rd position in National/Inter-University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.

Or

Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates i.e. trained physical education teachers/coaches)

The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B shall be as per the rules of the Government.
  • MODALITIES & GUIDELINES:
  1. Total No of seats - 50(Subject to qualify the eligibility criteria of NCTE). Among which 10% seats are reserved for candidates belongs to EWS as per Govt. Rules.
  2. The age of the candidate should not more than 30 years as on 01-09-2025(Relaxation as per Govt. Rules).
  3. 5% seats are to be reserved for untrained deputed school teachers of classes V-XII subject to their eligibility as per NCTE Regulations.
  4. The ratio of Home University students and Other University students shall be 80:20.
  5. All Certificates and Testimonials (Birth Certificate/M.P Admit Card, Cast Certificate, Marksheets, Sports achievement Certificate and Other Certificate) of candidate must be uploaded online during application. Verification of documents, if required, should be done only when the students will report for classes in due course. Admission will be cancelled if the documents are found not in conformity with the declaration in the forms submitted on-line and also found false / incorrect.
  6. All stakeholders shall adhere to the COVID-19 norms/protocol issued by the Govt. from time to time.
  7. Eligibility: As per NCTE Norms.
  8. No Fees will be charged for online application for admission 2025-2027 session.
  9. Reservation in seats and Relaxation of marks in favour of reserved category candidates shall be as per Govt. norms.
  10. Online admission process should be done based on merit. Prospective candidates should not be called for counseling or verification of documents during the process of admission. No physical presence will be required at the college.
  11. In regard to admission of students to these programmes, the Rules and the relevant Notifications of The University of Burdwan, The Govt. of West Bengal & The NCTE shall be followed. Apart from the above mentioned modalities and guidelines, all other relevant provisions, laid down therein the Notification, vide no. 556-Edn(CS)/10M-20/2015, dated 29th July 2025, will also be followed.
  12. All correspondence regarding admission in B. P. Ed course 2025-2027 will be made through college website. No correspondence will be done by any other means. Candidates are requested to follow the website day by day.
  13. B. P. Ed course is fully residential in nature. Hostel accommodation will be provided to the students by the college. Food has to arrange by students themselves. No one will be allowed to attend regular instructional classes from home/own residence.
  14. UG (B.A/B.Sc/B.Com or Equivalent Examination) 6th Semester appeared candidates may be applied for Form fill up but they have to show their final semester examination mark sheet or publication of result sheet before appeared in the Physical Fitness Test on 16.09.2025 at 6:00 A.M., if failed to produce the same will not be considered in the admission procedure.
  • ADMISSION TEST MODALITIES:
A. Field Test Items:
40 marks

  2. Shuttle Run 10 m x 4(10 marks)
  3. Standing Broad Jump(10 marks)
  4. Skill Test of any one Games & Sports from the following(10 marks):
    1. Kho-Kho
    2. Kabaddi
    3. Basket ball
    4. Vollyball
    5. Football
    6. Athletics(Jumping & Throwing)
    7. Gymnaetics
    8. Yoga
    9. Handball
    10. Badminton
    11. Cricket
  

B. Written Test:

20 marks
  1. Multiple Choice Questions(15 marks)
  2. Short note(5 marks)
 
  • IMPORTANT EVENTS & DATES:
  1. Date of start Online Form fill up: 02.09.2025
  2. Date of closing of Online Form fill up:11.09.2025 up to 11:59 P.M.
  3. Provisional list of eligible candidates for Physical Fitness Test & Written Test (For any other correction required from the candidates or college end) 12.09.2025 after 6:00 P.M.
  4. Final corrected (if required) list of eligible candidates for Physical Fitness Test & Written Test will be published on 15.09.2025 after 6:00 P.M.
  5. Physical Fitness Test & Written Test: 16.09.2025 Time: 6:00 A.M.
  6. Combined provisional rank list of selected candidate for admission in B. P. Ed course, session 2025-2027 will be published on 17.09.2025 on college website.
  7. Provisional 1st merit list for Admission: 17.09.2025.
  8. Admission Date of 1st merit list: 17.09.2025 to 21.09.2025.
  9. 2nd merit list for admission will be published on 22.09.2025(after 6:00 P.M.), subject to availability of vacant seats
  10. Admission Date of 2nd merit list: 22.09.2025 to 23.09.2025.
  11. Further merit list will be published (subject to availability of vacant seats).
  • ADMISSION FEE ( TUTION FEE ):
  1. Selected candidates those who have submitted receipt of Admission Fees through online for the admission in B.P.Ed course, 2025-2027 sessions will be confirmed.
  2. Admission Fees of Rs. 650.00(non refundable) as tution fee to be deposited to the college Bank Account(detailed mentioned below) through e-payment within the stipulated date & time. Failing which the candidate will not be entertained for admission and will be cancelled.
    Fee Structure:
    1. Tution Fees Rs. 100/- per month.
    2. Coution money Rs. 50/-(one time) refandable.
